Nonfiction Community - Billboard design

Role: Creative Director

I had the opportunity to volunteer my design skills for Nonfiction Community, a clothing company based in Gary, Indiana. The company is dedicated to serving the community and empowering young people, particularly those from underprivileged areas. As part of their mission, they offer workshops on product creation, including clothing, accessories, and home decor, as well as branding and marketing.

I was thrilled to create two billboard designs for Nonfiction Community, founded by Marté Currie and Christine Ho, both originally from Boston. The first design features Christine Ho holding a pair of scissors, emphasizing the importance of creativity and craftsmanship. The second design showcases a cityscape with a diverse group of people overlaying a pair of hands, symbolizing the community-driven nature of the company. The cityscape is an amalgamation of scenes from both Boston and Gary, highlighting the connection between the two cities.

I was honored to contribute to Nonfiction Community's mission and to help promote their message through these billboards. It was an inspiring experience to see a company that values community, education, and creativity come to life.
